Three classifications. Three colors. One tap.
Mark a speaker — or a whole story — Attorney-Client privileged, Doctor-Patient privileged, or Internal Use Only. Each gets its own colored shield, and the color carries into every email, every PDF, and every subject line.
New: filter your story feed by the shield color, so a screenful of conversations sorts itself into red, blue, and purple at a glance.
The three shields.
Each classification has one job: make the sensitivity of a conversation impossible to miss — in the app, in every export, and across your whole feed.
Legal work-product. Shows as a red shield in the app, an ATTORNEY-CLIENT PRIVILEGE — CONFIDENTIAL banner on every email and PDF, and an [ATTORNEY-CLIENT PRIVILEGE] subject-line prefix.
Medical confidentiality. Shows as a blue shield in the app, a DOCTOR-PATIENT PRIVILEGE — CONFIDENTIAL banner on every export, and a [DOCTOR-PATIENT PRIVILEGE] subject-line prefix.
Not for external share. Shows as a purple shield in the app and an INTERNAL USE ONLY pill on exports — a visible signal the conversation stays inside the room.
Filter your story feed by classification
Tap a shield color to show only those stories — red attorney-client, blue doctor-patient, purple internal. Combine them, or clear them to see everything.
The color follows the conversation everywhere it goes.
A classification isn't just a label on the playback screen. The moment you mark a story, the color and the banner travel with every copy of it:
- In the app — a colored shield on the story and next to each marked speaker: red, blue, or purple.
- On every email — a full-width — CONFIDENTIAL banner in the matching color, plus a bracketed subject-line prefix like
[DOCTOR-PATIENT PRIVILEGE]. - On every PDF — the same banner stamped on each page header, so a printed copy carries the marking too.
- In your feed — a colored dot on each story, and a filter to show only one color at a time.
Attorney-Client renders red, Doctor-Patient renders blue, and Internal Use Only renders purple — the same three colors, in the same three places, every time.
What the marking does — and what it doesn't.
Bonfiyah's banner does not create privilege. Privilege is a doctrine of evidence and confidentiality law that depends on the relationship between the speakers, the purpose of the communication, and the expectation of confidentiality — not on a setting you tapped. What the marking does is preserve a contemporaneous record that you treated the conversation as privileged, block accidental outbound disclosure (email, share, AI summary), and stamp every export with the matching banner if the recording is ever subpoenaed or subject to discovery.
If you're depending on privilege in active litigation or a medical-records dispute, consult your lawyer. Bonfiyah is a tool, not legal advice. For the full consent and privilege model, see Consent + Privilege explained.
