Pricing detail

How intro pricing works.

Bonfiyah's three paid tiers each have an intro period at a reduced price, then step up to the standard rate. Below: the full ladder, the math, and the disclosure language Apple requires us to show you verbatim.

The full ladder.

Apple-required disclosure

The exact language Apple requires us to show.

Apple's App Store guidelines require intro-priced subscriptions to be disclosed in plain language with both prices and the duration before purchase. Here's exactly what you'll see for each plan, in the same words across the website, the App Store listing, and the in-app subscribe sheet:

Pro · monthly

$14.99/mo for the first 2 months, then $24.99/mo. Cancel anytime.

Pro · annual

$149.99 for the first year, then $199.99/year. Cancel anytime.

Pro AI · monthly

$24.99/mo for the first 60 days, then $34.99/mo. Cancel anytime.

Pro AI · annual

$179.99 for the first year, then $279.99/year. Cancel anytime.

Extra device · monthly

$1.99/mo for the first 90 days, then $2.99/mo. Cancel anytime.

Extra device · annual

$19.99 for the first year, then $29.99/year. Cancel anytime.

The reasoning

Why intro pricing instead of a flat rate.

The category Bonfiyah sits in — AI conversation memory for iPhone, iPad & Mac — is one most people haven't tried. The standard objection isn't "this is too expensive" but "I don't yet know if a recording layer is something I'll actually use." The intro window is sized to give you long enough to find out.

Pro: 2 months at $14.99/mo. Two months is two billing cycles where the only question is whether you record enough that the unlimited cap, sync, and cross-recording layer earn the price. If you record under 120 minutes a month, Free is correct and you should stay there.

Pro AI: 60 days at $24.99/mo. The cross-recording AI surfaces — Promise Tracker, Truth Layer, Pre-Brief, Project Context, Compatibility, Team Dynamics — produce more useful output the more recordings they have to work across. A 7-day trial of these features is unfair to the product because the second-month outputs are dramatically better than the first-week outputs. 60 days is closer to a fair test.

Devices: 90 days at $1.99/mo. Adding an iPad or Mac is the kind of decision that takes a quarter to settle in. Three months of cheap multi-device sync is enough time to decide whether the second screen is worth keeping permanent.

The standard rates ($24.99 Pro, $34.99 Pro AI, $2.99 device) are calibrated against the long-run unit economics — App Store cut, the upstream transcription provider line, AI inference cost on Pro AI, iCloud transfer. The intro rates are subsidised against early-customer expansion; we're trading margin in months 1–2 for confidence in months 3+.

Annual

Annual is the cheapest path long-term.

Twelve months of monthly billing on Pro AI at standard rate is $419.88. The annual rate is $279.99 — about 33% cheaper, equivalent to roughly four months free. Annual + Bonfiyah Friends referrals stack — every paid signup you refer adds another free month against your annual renewal.

Intro pricing FAQ

Why does Bonfiyah charge intro pricing instead of a flat rate?

Bonfiyah is AI conversation memory for iPhone, iPad & Mac — a category most people haven't tried before. Intro pricing gives you genuinely cheap access for long enough to establish whether the product earns its standard price for your specific use. Pro AI's 60-day intro is longer than the typical free trial because the value of the cross-recording features compounds the more you use them — you can't fairly evaluate a memory layer in 7 days.

When does the price step up?

Pro: 2 months at $14.99/mo, then $24.99/mo. Pro AI: 60 days at $24.99/mo, then $34.99/mo. Devices: 90 days at $1.99/mo, then $2.99/mo. Apple's StoreKit handles the step-up automatically at the next renewal cycle. You'll receive a notification from Apple before the standard rate begins.

Can I cancel during the intro period?

Yes. Cancel anytime in iPhone Settings → Subscriptions. If you cancel during the intro window, you keep access through the end of the period you've paid for, and you're not charged again. No penalties, no clawback.

Is intro pricing a free trial?

No — these are reduced-price periods, not free. The 7-day automatic trial of the next tier up is the actual free trial: every signup gets that on top of intro pricing on their paid tier.

What if I subscribe annually?

Annual plans get an intro-priced first year and step up at renewal. Pro: $149.99 first year, then $199.99/year. Pro AI: $179.99 first year, then $279.99/year. Device add-on annual: $19.99 first year, then $29.99/year. Annual is the cheapest path long-term — equivalent to roughly two months free vs. paying monthly.

Does intro pricing reset if I downgrade and re-upgrade?

No. Intro pricing applies to new subscribers only. Apple tracks this at the Apple ID level — the system knows whether you've previously held the subscription and won't reset the intro window for re-subscribes.
